Here was a nice home in a nice neighborhood. All of these homes were well kept from the street view, but one look between the properties showed us a lurking danger; dirty, slippery pavers waiting to put grandma in the mud. In fact, the mud was caused by the same conditions which made the pavers dirty. Lack of direct sunlight and staying perpetually wet due to poor water drainage will keep any surface slimy. Scattered around the home were a few stones that were soft washed as well.
Soft Washing pavers is the best way to clean them. The solution seeps down between the bricks and kills organic growth, all while lifting dirt and allowing it to be carried away with a gentle rinse. Also, pressure washing would blow all the sand out of the joints and cause erosion under the bricks. Soft Washing is generally best practice on delicate surfaces.
I did a walk around with the customer after. She noted the enhanced look, and the fresh smell.
