Let me start out by saying that at first sight I felt I was under prepared for this job. Then I remembered that I’m a professional who possesses the equipment and knowledge to perform any job I want. It was a simple procedure that would be followed by a terrific outcome. The years of filth and layers of dead organics really did a number on this painted concrete patio.
I started to sweep, then blow as much dry matter as I could from the area. Failure to do this step would have caused sludge and gunk to spray all over. Next, a heavy dose of Soft Washing solution to permeate and destroy the now slimy and stinky organic growth. Right before my eyes, hints of white paint began to peek through the dirty film and at last, it was time to rinse. The color change was immense and I felt as though I was re-painting with white paint. After a generous rinse and flooding of surrounding vegetation, I laid down another generous coating of my Soft Wash solution and allowed it to sit until dry.
While the patio will still need to be repainted, this Soft Wash procedure was invariably the first step. No use of extreme pressure and no scarring to to the concrete! Now this backyard can be enjoyed for barbeques and get togethers for this coming spring!
